ST. FRANCIS STEPPING STONE
This was the first stepping stone I made. I had taken a class at 2nd St Stained Glass in Waite Park, MN to learn the "indirect method" for these garden stones This stone has iridized blue glass in the border. The background came from the St Francis pattern, and the dove pattern was from a kit This stone has cathedral sky blue glass in the border set against the Antique White concrete. It gives the glass a depth that the opaque glasses can't achieve Moral of the story is NEVER use granite textured glass when making an indirect poured stepping stone. Ask me how I know :-) OK!! OK!! I know I made this one already, but what can I say? I love this pattern. Reminds me of all the Jackmanii clematis we have growing on the farm.
